BAKE SALE VICTORY!!!!!

The bake sale was a super huge fun success!  Thanks to all who attended, those that bought raffle tickets and those who totally threw moral support my way.  I'm continually blown away by the support and heartfelt encouragement to follow my path in this endeavour.  It keeps that momentum freight train going and maintains my high spirits.  In case any of you didn't know, I had a bake sale last weekend at cakespy shop.  Jessie is an awesome super duper rad dudette and everyone should support her.  who could resist that smile!?!  I can see where Cuppie gets his smile...
The event was super duper loads of fun and made the 2, 12-14 hour day baking marathon madness totally worth it!  Here's some pics:
A little pre-bake action...

Tada! Welcome to my bake sale!!!

Jessie made the CUTEST sign!  She's funnay!

My mom made carmel corn and choc covered pretzels.  And Jude made raw pie!  Those were the best!

The ever popular cherry pie choc cupcake with choc butter cream frosting.  It was so very very delicious and I look forward to making these in the future.
Jude also made Rosie Bones!  Raw sweet potato dog treats!  Here was the raffle.  Raffled off a $100 gift cert to Pacocollars.com.  Check em out.  They're an awesome company who specialize in high quality leather products.

Celeb siting!!!  Bake it in a cake's very own Meagan!!!  Eep!!!  Check out her site.  She's the inspiration behind cherry pie choc cupcake.  Her site is dedicated towards anything you can bake inside a cake!  So very very rad!

This was a super wonderful experience.  I'm hoping to have a pie vs cupcake bake sale in the summer.  And hopefully it will be at cakespy shop!!!!

Staying Healthy

I'm a your basic healthy person and I attribute it to no nothing other than having a regular yoga practice.  I notice this a lot more during said flu season (even though I have my doubts about those even existing in the first place).  Actually I would have to say that it's the yoga, my diet and my overall happiness.  My life was a total friggin WRECK for a few years about 4ish years ago and my health was in total disarray.  I was constantly sick, which made sense to me cause I was mentally sick and not really doing a whole lot of eating well and doing yoga.  Hindsight right...  I try to pay attention to all the postures in the Bikram series cause they are all a big circle of relativity, but i usually always pay strong attention to those throat choking postures cause they stimulate your lymph nodes and are super duper good for your immune system.  Sometimes I even find myself giving me a double chin while I'm working.  Just for good measure.

I love my yoga practice for so many reasons and the reason at the top of that list is overall general health.  I got pretty crazy sick this last summer, after my concussion, but was able to bounce back fairly quickly.  Before that, I hadn't been sick in over a year!  Wow!  The hospital staff at my work has taken some heavy hits in terms of illness related absences.  I know that if I keep practicing Bikram, eating pretty healthy and staying close to my spiritual path my mental and physical health will continue to flourish.  Practice the process.
